Traditional debt consisting of a single long-term loan for a nominal amount of €3.65bn:

  • £1.5bn in sterling and €1.965bn in euros
  • 6 tranches (3 in €, 3 in £) with an average life of 25 to 41 years
  • Interest payments including payments on hedging contracts: €201M in 2009
  • 1st repayment of principal in 2013
  • Original lenders: consortium consisting of Goldman Sachs International / Deutsche Bank AG
  • Investment Grade Rating of Baa2 (Moody's)
