Roadworks on the M20

The Highways Agency are currently undertaking a programme of roadworks on the M20 between junction 11 and 12 in both directions. The aim of the programme is to install a Quick Movable Barrier which will improve the traffic flow on the M20 when Operation Stack is in place.

Work will take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until approximately mid-August 2008. At least two lanes will remain open between 6am to 8pm each day. The hard shoulder may be in use as a third lane where necessary to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

A 50 mph speed limit will be in place throughout the work.
