Be dazzled by thousands of twinkling lights in the city centre. In the Grand’Place, Christmas carols fill the air as a 50-metre high Big Wheel turns majestically, providing an incredible view of the city. At its base, the reproduction of a snow covered village, complete with cottages, chapel, and even a frozen pond where children can ice-skate, fills the entire square.

Enjoy a glass of mulled wine or taste the local French delicacies whilst taking it in the irresistible aroma of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts. The Christmas market is held in Place Rihour with over 80 chalets selling arts and crafts, regional products, Christmas decorations and traditional toys.

Numerous events highlight this festive season, the most awaited being the arrival of Father Christmas! Wrapped up in his warm red coat and carrying his precious sack, he descends the 76 metre tall belfry. Children get a chance to meet and get their picture taken with Father Christmas.
