We had an incredible time at The France Show this year, fully immersing ourselves in the sights, sounds and smells of
the Continent. As soon as London Olympia’s doors opened, there was a real buzz as crowds excitedly headed off in
all directions to get their France fix. With French cooking demos, wine tasting, market stalls, cancan dancers and
live music, the venue quickly became a hive of cultural activity.
There was plenty to keep visitors entertained this year, and it was brilliant to see the best of France under one roof.
The cooking demos drew huge crowds as people huddled round to learn French cooking techniques from top chefs and
taste the country’s most celebrated dishes. The wine tasting seminars were also popular, with many appreciating the
flavours and complexity of the finest French wines.
Going, going...
This year the show staged its first French property auction. There was lots of excitement in the air as property-hunters
bid on their dream holiday homes. Visitors also stopped by the property forums to get advice about moving abroad.
The market was a real hit this year. Everyone agreed that it was like being at a traditional French market – armed with
a basket, you could pick up everything from French cheese and locally roasted coffee to handmade ceramics. Visitors
then enjoyed some down time in the central picnic area as they consumed the nibbles they’d bought at the food stalls.
The France Show also put on some great entertainment, showcasing some impressive talent. Kitted out in dazzling costumes,
you couldn’t miss the chorus-line of cancan dancers as they performed a sequence of high kicks. Vintage music quartet,
The Sparrows of Paris, then filled the venue with the sounds of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Visitors were invited to
get involved and learn some ‘bal musette’ dance moves.
But seriously folks...
Even with all this excitement going on around us, the highlight of the show was getting the opportunity to catch up with
our customers. Throughout the weekend Eurotunnel Le Shuttle customers came over to say hello and share stories from
their recent travels with us. It was great to hear about their adventures and gather valuable feedback about our
service. It also gave us the chance to help our customers plan their next break, tell them about our latest deals
and share our top travel tips with them.

We were also busy chatting to new customers keen to book their first trip with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. Many of them were
excited for their first self-drive holiday and the freedom they’ll enjoy from having their car with them.
Lots of people who visited our stand also entered our competition to win a Short Stay Flexiplus ticket. Congratulations
to our competition winner, Mr Hurran – we hope you enjoy your upcoming trip!
We were exhausted after such a busy weekend at the show. The show was packed every day and a record number of people
came and visited us at our stand. We had such a fantastic time and are already looking forward to doing it
all again next year!
