On behalf of all our dedicated pet brand team, I'm delighted to announce that we were awarded The Kennel Club 2014 'Be Dog Friendly' award.

This year saw us up against some very strong competition in the Large Organisation category; therefore to win this award for the 3rd year running is a massive honour for us because these awards are voted for by you, our customers!

We love pets and are passionate about our four legged travellers. We strive to provide excellent facilities and fun treats throughout the year to help make their travels a woof-tastic and stress free experience.

It was great to me

It will come as no surprise to our readers that we love pets! We’ve been working really hard this past year to ensure that all of your pets’ travel experiences are as safe and enjoyable as possible, and we’re thrilled to say thank you to everyone who voted for us for the Kennel Club’s Be Dog Friendly Awards because… we won!

We won the Large Organisation category for 2015, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve been crowned top dog for four years in a row, so it’s a great achievement.

 Away we go!
Away we go!

About the Competition

Each year, The Kennel Club lets the public vote for the best non-pet places and businesses which go out of their way to make life easier for the UK’s 8 million dogs. It’s all about encouraging and recognising places across the UK to adopt a dog-friendly attitude, and this year we were proud to be a part of the Be Dog Friendly Awards.

It was an even greater privilege to be chosen as the winner for the Large Organisation category, as there were some great shortlisted organisations which took part.

As we mentioned before, we’ve been working hard to give your dogs a great time when they travel with us, here’s a list of the things we’ve accomplished this year.

In Folkestone:

  • Improvements to the Folkestone pet area such as artificial grass
  • Introduced a girls in season only area.

In Calais:

  • We created a new and improved Pet Reception where you will now find
  • A larger pet exercise area
  • Air conditioned reception
  • More parking
  • A drive thru pet check area during peak periods, which is still on trial.
