An excited Doh-Doh the mascot joined the team for both weekends.

As some of you will already know, during the October half term, we held two sculpt-tacular events with the wonderful team at Play-Doh, at our Victor Hugo and Charles Dickens terminals. It’s fair to say that the children (and parents!) loved it and it was a huge success. Here are some of the best bits.

What was it?

On 23rd October Play-Doh’s expert sculptors and Doh-Doh the mascot made the journey down to our Victor Hugo terminal for the first of our special sculpting weekends. They brought every colour of Play-Doh imaginable and set up a fun sculpting station for kids (and adults!). The expert sculptors were in the terminal from Friday to Sunday, sharing their sculpting tips and helping kids to create their very own masterpieces. The kids also got some help from ‘how to’ creation sheets and Play-Doh videos. We saw so many fantastic sculpts that it’s hard to name just one; there were spooky ghosts and bright orange pumpkins for Halloween, as well as bikes, cars and other great sculpts.

There were also lots of fun games to take part in, plus entertainment provided by the legendary mascot, Doh-Doh. Doh-Doh strutted around the terminal high-fiving all the kids, posing for fun photographs and helping the kids with their sculpts. A few of the children even tried to recreate Doh-Doh himself! We also handed out discount vouchers for Smyths Toy Stores and colouring sheets. For those families who were headed straight onto the shuttle we made sure the little ones didn’t miss out and gave them a pack!

After a fun-filled weekend at the Victor Hugo terminal, we couldn’t wait to do it all again – so we did! It took place on 30th October at the Charles Dickens terminal, and it was just as sculpt-tastic the second time around.

We also held a Play-Doh competition…

At the same time as our Play-Doh weekenders, we held a series of competitions on Facebook. We asked our fans to guess the locations of specially created Play-Doh sculpts, to be in with a chance of winning some amazing Play-Doh prizes. We saw cheese and watches in the Swiss Alps and even a ghost ship in Amsterdam. We had so many responses, but there could only be 6 winners – massive congratulations to them, the prizes are on the way!

We had a truly fantastic time with the team from Play-Doh, Doh-Doh the mascot and all of you who stopped by. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
