Winter Doggy Dining Take your furry friend to dine with you in France

When you holiday to France this winter, it’s good to know that wherever you go, your dog can follow. This means planning ahead to find out the best eateries and restaurants where both you and your dog can relax comfortably. In France, dogs are generally more welcome in restaurants than in many places in the UK. Even so, it’s always better to be safe than sorry, so check out our guide to winter doggy dining.

La Brasserie du Musée – Versailles

Around the corner from Château de Versailles you’ll find a delightful restaurant, La Brasserie du Musée. With lovely views of the surrounding streets, the brasserie dishes up simple and tasty bistro-style meals, such as steak frites, croque-monsieur, omelettes, light bites and soup of the day. This is a great place to swing by for lunch or even to grab a takeaway meal before exploring the historic streets of Versailles. When sat outside, dogs are welcome to sit by your feet while you dine, and inside smaller dogs are also welcome.

Near to the commune of Bergerac, the château has its own vineyards, and the restaurant is headed by chef Bas Holten.
