So many cute pooches stole our hearts during this fun two-day event.

Earlier this year, we took part in one of our favourite biannual events – Paws in the Park. This year’s autumn event, which took place at the Kent Showground between 19th and 20th September, was a sweeping success, with sunshine all day and lots of happy pooches and their owners.

The UK’s largest indoor and outdoor dog show for working, trained and pet dogs, Paws in the Park attracts hundreds of participants every year who turn up to take part in dozens of fun events and games, as well as fantastic doggy shopping opportunities.

The Pet team at Paws in the Park

The Eurotunnel Le Shuttle pet team were in the main exhibition stand, with our partners Arden Grange and friends from local veterinarian, Manor Vets, who were on hand to answer all your pet-related queries. We also gave away an amazing 1000 goodie bags! We’d like to say a massive congratulations to the winners of our Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Challenge, which was in support of the German Shepherd Rescue Elite.

aWe made lots of friends, so thanks to everyone who came and said hello.

During the event, we also held a competition, giving away:

  • One Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Flexiplus Short Stay return ticket, including one pet
  • One year’s supply of Arden Grange complete dry dog food
  • One annual subscription to the Dog Friendly magazine

The winner of this competition was Mrs Crow and her Dachshund, Troy – congratulations on winning such a ‘dogtastic’ prize!

Fun and games

There was plenty to do for both pets and owners at this year’s autumn Paws in the Park. We were very lucky with the weather - the sun shone down on us all day - and we had lots of fun meeting so many enthusiastic pet owners.

We loved all the events that took place, and the special dog competitions included: Flyball, My Dog’s Got Talent, Agility, Heelwork to Music and Aquazone – Dash ‘N' Splash. Our personal favourite was Dog’s Got Talent; we had the pleasure of seeing some amazing talent as our stand was opposite the competition! Well done to everyone who took part, it was an impressive display and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also loved Aquazone – Dash ‘N’ Splash, as the dogs seemed to love jumping in the water and making a big splash.

We can’t wait to see you next year!
