Terms and Conditions of Entry
Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of entry to the competition. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions
A. HOW TO ENTER
i. The competition runs from 1st November – 30th November 2019
ii. All competition entries must be received by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle by no later than 23:59 on 30th November 2019. All competition entries received after that time will not be accepted.
iii. To enter the competition complete all Eurotunnel Le shuttle modules correctly and enter a valid email address
iv. There is a limit of one entry to the competition Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Duplicate entries will not be counted.
v. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle does not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.
vi. No purchase is necessary.
B. ELIGIBILITY
i. The competition is open to all participants` aged 18 years or over, except employees of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition.
ii. By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may require you to provide proof of your identity and that you are eligible to enter the competition – you agree to cooperate with such enquiries.
iii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will not accept competition entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with, photocopies and not originals or incomplete.
iv. By entering the competition you confirm that your entry form and any accompanying materials and submissions:
- do not contain any material which is defamatory of any person or which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
- do not promote sexually explicit material, violence or any illegal activity;
- do not promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
- do not infringe any rights of any other person.
- are not likely to deceive any person;
- are not made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;
- are not threatening, abusive or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
- are not likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;
- are not used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;
- do not give the impression that they emanate from Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, if this is not the case; or
- do not advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright or trade mark infringement or computer misuse.
v. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition or if (in Eurotunnel Le Shuttle’s opinion) you are in breach of these terms and conditions. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves the right to contact the relevant authorities to report any inappropriate content you submit in connection with the competition or otherwise.
C. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
i. i. Winners will be selected at random. The winners will be notified by email using details provided at entry within 14 working days of closing date 30th November 2019 and must respond to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle by return direct message or by email to mitsales@eurotunnel.com within 14 days of being notified they have won and provide their postal address to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle in order to claim their prize.
ii. If a winner does not respond to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle within 14 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will be entitled to select another winner at random.
iii. The decision of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
D. THE PRIZE
i. The prize is a Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Short Break ticket. The prize will be allocated randomly.
ii. All prizes are subject to availability.
- There is no cash alternative for the prize and the prize is not negotiable or transferable.
- The Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Short Break must be booked 21 days in advance of departure. The return journey must be travelled by midnight on the 5th calendar day after departure. The prize is valid for one calendar year from it’s date of issue, but cannot be redeemed in June, July or August of that year. Bookings are subject to availability. The winner is responsible for arranging their own vehicle for Eurotunnel Le Shuttle travel. Eurotunnels’s standard terms and conditions of carriage apply. These are available at www.eurotunnel.com/uk/conditions-of-carriage the prize does not include travel insurance,fuel,toll charges, pet travel, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses, any other costs incurred.
iii. The winner can claim their prize by contacting our Trade Sales Department by email at mitsales@eurotunnel.com The prize will be sent to the winner’s postal address, as provided to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle in the winner’s Acknowledgement, by recorded delivery. Please allow 15 days from your Acknowledgement for delivery of the prize.
iv. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
v. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take delivery of the prize.
E. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and/or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
F. OWNERSHIP
i. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will become the property of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle on receipt and will not be returned.
ii. You agree that Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may make your entry and accompanying materials available on its website www.eurotunnel.com and any other social media platform in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant Eurotunnel Le Shuttle a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights, in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
G. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
i. By entering the competition, you agree that any personal data supplied to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle in connection with the competition (including your name, image and contact details) may be used by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its partners and/or any third party suppliers (as applicable) in connection with the administration of the competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. Please review Eurotunnel Le Shuttle’s Privacy Policy (available at www.eurotunnel.com/privacy) for more information on how Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may use your personal data.
ii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may publish your name and company name on the OTT website at www.onlinetraveltraining.com Your email address may also be used to contact you about the competition. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.
iii. The winner may be asked for feedback about their Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Short Break – such feedback may be used by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle for marketing purposes.
H. GENERAL
i. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition, to withdraw the prize or to require you to return the prize if already received.
ii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
iii. If a provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, that part shall not affect the validity of the other provisions in these terms and conditions, and shall be severed from those provisions.
iv. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
