New Pet Reception in Calais

Our new and improved Pet Reception in Calais has opened its doors - here’s what you and your pet can expect.

We love pets here at LeShuttle and we want to make sure your pets have the best possible journey when they travel with us. So it's with great pleasure that we unveil our new and improved Pet Reception in Calais, which opened its doors for the first time on Thursday the 6th of August. We think it's the cat's whiskers!

New facilities

Larger pet exercise area - This new exercise area, complete with artificial grass, means your pet can get a bit of last minute exercise before heading onto the shuttle and also means no more muddy paws in the car.

Additional parking spaces - We've added additional parking spaces to make sure that you always get a spot. We haven't forgotten our campers and caravaners, either, who now have dedicated parking spaces.

Drive through pet check-in* - Now you can make your journey even smoother, thanks to our drive through pet check-in service.

Air conditioned reception - You and your pet can stay calm, cool and collected in our air-conditioned reception area.

Meet the pets

Since the new Pet Reception has launched, we've had the chance to meet some of you and your lovely pets - here are a few of our new furry friends.

Coco the Cross-Spaniel

Coco is a 4-month-old rescue puppy and this was her first time on LeShuttle. Needless to say, she loved it! Here she is about to dive into her pet treats goodie bag.

Magy the English Springer Spaniel

9 year old Magy is a well-travelled pooch, having been on plenty of trips with LeShuttle to France and Germany. This trip was to Normandy with her owners and their grandchildren.

More still to come

Over the next couple of weeks we'll be adding a few more things to the Pet Reception, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Visit the Pet Reception

LeShuttle takes just 35 minutes from Calais to Folkestone, so you and your pet can check out the new Pet Reception and get away in no time at all!

We recommend that you check your pet in one hour before you're due to travel back to the UK.

About the Author

I love travelling. France, Europe, the World! I’ve been to many countries around the World, but keep being drawn back to France. Just a quick trip under the Channel from our home in Folkestone, my family and I could easily spend every holiday there, from skiing, self catering gites and the odd daytrip or weekend break. I hope to share some of my stories and favourite places with our Eurotunnel Le Shuttle customers.

20% off* Day Trip and Short Stay Saver tickets when you book here before 24th March. Travel on select dates until 30th June 2024. *Terms & exclusion dates apply
