Frequent Traveller suspension update

June 2021

If you have a Frequent Traveller Wallet which is due to expire, we can confirm they will be automatically extended to 30th June 2022 (when all travel must be completed).

The updated expiry date will show in your wallet in the next few weeks.

Our phone lines are extremely busy – please only contact us if you really need to.

Due to the current situation with regard to travel between the UK and continental Europe, as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, Eurotunnel has indefinitely suspended the sale of Frequent Traveller accounts. We understand that this decision will be disappointing but this is necessary in the current climate. Additional checks are now required by the authorities and this has affected the time it takes for vehicles to proceed through both check in and border controls. Unfortunately this will prevent us from carrying our normal levels of traffic over the summer and, as a result, we will have to reduce the number of trains in operation. In addition, we have extended the validity of thousands of Frequent Traveller tickets that could not be used while travel restrictions have been in place. As a result, we must ensure there is sufficient space to honour these already sold tickets and so we are presently obliged to suspend the sale of further wallets.

We recognise the demand for a product of this nature and so we are planning to introduce a new off peak multibuy product later in the year. This will be dependent on the easing of the travel restrictions and if there is sufficient off peak availability.

Important Frequent Traveller Ticket Information

Flexiplus lounge facilities are open 06.00 to 22.00 daily (local time). Outside opening hours the Flexiplus lobby with complimentary Starbucks and toilet facilities will be available. (Excluding coach).

Frequent Traveller and Frequent Traveller Flexiplus wallets can be shared with another My Eurotunnel account holder. This Nominated Person cannot be changed for the duration of the wallet's validity.

Some vehicle types may require payment of a supplement at time of booking.

Bookings can be made by the wallet owner or Nominated Person. However, the person making the booking must travel on all bookings made in their name.

It is possible to book your travel one day before departure, however, we recommend that in order to take advantage of the best choice of crossings you book early, especially during school holidays or busy festive periods, to avoid disappointment.
