Latest Check-In Time

  • Check-in at least 1 hour and not more than 2 hours before your scheduled departure time.
  • If you are travelling with your pet we recommend you arrive at least 90 mins prior to your departure, so you have time to check them into the Pet Receptions building. This is located before the check-in at the Calais Terminal, just follow the paw print signs when you arrive at the terminal to find it.

M20 traffic

If you're travelling to our UK terminal we recommend you check the traffic news and allow plenty of time for your journey. More information.

Don't forget to add your Advance Passenger Information

Make sure you add your passenger information to all your bookings before you travel. If you do not supply your passenger information in advance of travelling, you may be stopped at check-in and asked to add your passenger information to your booking before ontinuing on your journey.

  • If you arrive and check-in within two hours either side of your departure time, either early or late, we’ll offer you a space on the next available shuttle. But if you’re held up due to events outside our control (and yours) like motorway traffic jams, meaning you arrive outside of these times, don’t worry: we’ll still get you onto the very next available shuttle. If you would like to amend your ticket, you can find out how to do that here.

  • This mainly depends on how much traffic we’re experiencing around our terminals. On a normal day, you’ll be checked in and through border control in minutes. If there’s a wait before check-in or border control, for whatever reason, then it can take longer.

  • If there are delays to our shuttle service, and you think we’re at fault, please complete this form to our customer complaints team, who will be in touch. If we’re at fault, we always look to put things right with our passengers.

  • We’re a shuttle service, with trains leaving every hour of every day from terminals that are open 24/7 and 365 days of the year. The exact number depends on when you’re travelling of course, depending on the time of year and the time of day.

  • We’d recommend making sure you have enough snacks and drinks for the whole family just in case there are delays and you’re spending more time in your vehicle than you might have planned. Ideally you’ll be on your way in no time at all, but bringing something to eat and drink is a good idea, just in case you do have to wait a while for your shuttle. We have toilets in the terminal (and we’d recommend paying a visit before boarding) and on every shuttle too.

  • We know our passengers want to get away as fast as they can, and we’ll do everything in our power to help you do just that. Unfortunately, there are a few reasons why sometimes you might have to wait. There can be traffic congestion on the motorways, for example, and this can mean lots of traffic suddenly arriving at the terminal. There could also be a wait before check-in or at border control. We will always put the very latest travel information on our website, so we’d recommend checking this page if you’re heading to us.

  • No, LeShuttle (formerly known as Eurotunnel) is not affected by National Rail strikes. These strikes impact on the rail network, but LeShuttle is not part of the UK rail network. It is a separate transport provider.
