The Aa Saint-Omer club is situated close to the town of Lumbres, around a 20 minute drive from Saint-Omer in the Hauts-de-France region. The town of Saint-Omer has plenty to offer on those golf-free days, with its astonishing wartime heritage, art and architecture and wonderful wetlands.

Exploring the courses
Le Val course
The club’s championship course course is a par 73 layout that will provide a stern challenge for even the most skilful player. The Le Val course has hosted the Saint-Omer Open since 1997, an event that has been on the European Tour calendar and is now a fixture on the European Challenge Tour. Le Val is hilly, and the terrain has challenged the likes of Brooks Koepka and Tyrrell Hatton in the past, neither of whom broke par on their tussles with Le Val.
There are some holes that will remain in your memory for a long time. Amongst the most testing are the par four 3rd, with its blind approach to a fast and undulating green, and the dogleg 13th. There are two back to back par fives on the back nine, and the 18th hole is a terrific 473-metre par four with a two-tiered green. La Haute Drève
La Haute Drève is the club’s 9-hole academy course. The par 31 layout makes it ideal for higher handicappers, youngsters or those still learning the game. The parkland layout adds another dimension to the club which helps explain why Aa Saint Omer is such a favourite with regular golfing visitors.
Relax in the clubhouse
The ‘19th hole’ at Aa Saint-Omer does not disappoint. Enjoy a refreshing drink in the bar after your exploits on the fairways, bunkers and greens, and perhaps a meal at the Le Ristandèl brasserie. The pro shop offers a wide range of golfing equipment and clothing, as well as the chance to buy some golf lessons with the resident professional.
