July 15, 2015

This September, thousands of people and their four-legged friends will flock to the Kent Showground in Detling for the biannual Paws in the Park event. Paws in the Park is the UK's largest outside event for working, trained, and pet dogs, and it attracts people from across the country. Last year, over 20,000 people and 15,000 dogs attended the event, and this year is set to be even bigger! Read on to find out what's in store for 2015.

Things to do with your dog

There's so much to see and do at Paws in the Park that every minute you spend there will be absolutely jam-packed. You and your dog can take part in a whole range of doggy activities, including games, sporting events and amazing competitions. From agility to water sports, and from heelwork competitions to novelty dog show classes, there's something to suit every dog. The event is really family-friendly, and is especially fun for kids. Not only do they get to have fun with the dogs, but they'll also get to meet lots of other children and make some new friends along the way.

Activities for campers

As Paws in Park is such a big event, you might decide to buy weekend tickets and camp at the handy campsite, which is located next to the event. Campers can enjoy some exciting evening activities, such as an exclusive training session with Crufts K9 Freestyle Winner 2014, Richard Curtis. There's also an evening quiz, with lots of fantastic prizes to be won, and a special performance by Celebrity Stunt Dogs. If you want to get the full Paws in the Park experience, start digging out your sleeping bag and tent!
