Terms and Conditions of Entry
Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of entry to the competition. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
A. HOW TO ENTER
i. The competition runs from 10:00 on 25th March 2024 to 23:59 on 31st March 2024.
ii. All competition entries must be received by LeShuttle by no later than 23:59 on 31st March 2024.
iii. To enter the competition, visit our Facebook or Instagram LeShuttle page to find the competition post published on 25th March 2024 and comment who would you take to France for the day – and why? (Tagging a friend/family member.)
iv. Entrants can enter both on Facebook and Instagram. There is a limit of one entry for the competition on each platform. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Duplicate entries will not be counted.
v. LeShuttle does not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.
vi. No purchase is necessary.
B. ELIGIBILITY
i. The competition is open to residents in the UK, aged 18 years or over, except employees of LeShuttle, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition.
ii. By entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. LeShuttle may require you to provide proof of your identity and that you are eligible to enter the prize draw - you agree to cooperate with such enquiries.
iii. LeShuttle will not accept competition entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with, photocopies and not originals or incomplete.
iv. By entering the competition you confirm that your entry form and any accompanying materials and submissions:
- do not contain any material which is defamatory of any person or which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
- do not promote sexually explicit material, violence or any illegal activity; - do not promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
- do not infringe any rights of any other person;
- are not likely to deceive any person;
- are not made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;
- are not threatening, abusive or invade another's privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
- are not likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person; - are not used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;
- do not give the impression that they emanate from LeShuttle, if this is not the case; - do not advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright or trade mark infringement or computer misuse.
v. LeShuttle reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition or if (in LeShuttle's opinion) you are in breach of these terms and conditions. LeShuttle reserves the right to contact the relevant authorities to report any inappropriate content you submit in connection with the competition or otherwise.
C. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
i. One winner will be selected at random from all valid submissions. The winner will be announced on Facebook and Instagram stories and also notified by private message via Facebook or Instagram. The winner must respond to LeShuttle within 3 days of being notified they have won ("Acknowledgement") in order to claim their prize.
ii. If a winner does not respond to LeShuttle within 3 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and LeShuttle will be entitled to select another winner at random.
iii. The decision of LeShuttle is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
D. THE PRIZES
i. Win an AA Euro Travel Kit, filled with all your essentials for when you travel to the Continent by car and a LeShuttle Day Trip/Overnight ticket.
A LeShuttle Day Trip/Overnight ticket is for a car and up to 9 passengers. All travelling dates and times are subject to availability and must be booked in advance of travel. Ticket must be booked within one year from issue. Ticket is part of a return journey within 2-days. Return must be completed by midnight (local time) on the second calendar day. ii. The winner is responsible for arranging their own vehicle for LeShuttle travel. LeShuttle's standard terms and conditions of carriage apply. These are available at www.leshuttle.com/uk/conditions-of-carriage
iii. The LeShuttle Day Trip/Overnight ticket does not include travel insurance, accommodation, fuel, toll charges, food and drink, spending money, tax, pet travel costs or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above, and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize, are the responsibility of the winner.
iv. The winner will be responsible for ensuring that they (and any people travelling with them) are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents. Provide Advance Passenger Information (API) and has appropriate travel insurance and car insurance (including motor breakdown cover) for the trip in question on the travel dates specified.
v. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
E. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
i. After receiving notification by private message on either of the stated social media platforms above from LeShuttle, the winner will need to respond to the message with their details to claim the prize. (See C.ii and iii.)
ii. To book and arrange travel, the winner must provide their vehicle details and approximate travel times (within the date and times listed above) with the LeShuttle contact.
iii. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
iv. LeShuttle does not accept any responsibility if you are not able or are not eligible to take up the prize. No alternative prize will be available.
F. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, LeShuttle, its agents and distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of LeShuttle, its agents and/or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
G. OWNERSHIP
i. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to LeShuttle will become the property of LeShuttle on receipt and will not be returned.
ii. You agree that LeShuttle may make your entry and accompanying materials available on its website www.leshuttle.com LeShuttle Members app and any other social media platform in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant LeShuttle a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights, in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sublicence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
H. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
i. By entering the competition, the winner agrees that any personal data supplied to LeShuttle in connection with the competition (including your name and contact details) may be used by LeShuttle, its partners and/or any third party suppliers (as applicable) in connection with the administration of the competition. Please review LeShuttle's Privacy Policy (available at www.leshuttle.com/privacy) for more information on how LeShuttle may use your personal data.
ii. LeShuttle may publish your name on the LeShuttle website at www.leshuttle.com. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by LeShuttle. iii. The winner may be asked for feedback about their LeShuttle experience - such feedback may be used by LeShuttle for marketing purposes.
I. GENERAL
i. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions LeShuttle may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition, to withdraw the prize or to require you to return the prize if already received.
ii. LeShuttle reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
iii. If a provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, that part shall not affect the validity of the other provisions in these terms and conditions and shall be severed from those provisions.
iv. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
